It's the Holiday season, and many people (especially women) will start worrying about what the weight they will pack on during this time. Worrying about what to eat and what not to eat is only going to cause you stress...and as we all probably know, stress keeps weight on.
Over the holidays, THINK before you indulge. Be aware of the foods you are reaching for and know when to STOP eating. If you allow yourself to have a few tasty candies and cookies, you may find that you are not so ready to over eat because you are limiting yourself.
I once read an article that said that women fail at diets because we worry too much. It said that men have an easier time losing weight because they don't worry as much.
Do you worry over what you eat and drink?
Are you afraid you will be out of control over the holidays?
Are you already thinking to yourself "My New Year's Resolution will be to lose the weight I packed on during the holidays"?
If you answered YES to any of the above, here are some tips to help you through the holidays.
1. Be CONSCIOUS of what you are putting into your mouth. When you start eating that cookie or candy, say to yourself, "I'm going to enjoy each and every bite. When it is gone, I am done." If you find yourself reaching for another, and another, ask yourself "WHY?" Are you REALLY hungry and does it provide nourishing fuel for your body? Are you going to regret eating it? LISTEN to your body and trust that you will make the right decision.
2. Don't overly stress about the holidays. Enjoy this time of year!
3. Don't go too long without eating. If you skip meals or wait too long, your blood sugar will drop. Your hand will reach out to whatever it can find to get your blood sugar back up...and most likely you will do this without thinking consciously.
4. Use Hypnosis to help you stay in control of your eating over the holidays. Make an appointment with a Hypnotist ASAP.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
